Raffu

My home is Raffu,
for more than a week,
and the feelings are high,
with a tongue in the cheek.
Our subcamp is situated in the middle of Kilke, at the very heart of the camp. In the four villages at Raffu live scouts from Guide and Scout District of South West Finland and Finlands Svenska Scouter. The villages, named Rap, Reggae, Rock and Rumba will also host two troops from Guide and Scout District of Uusimaa and a group of foreign friends in scouting. Altogether that makes 2000 of us, united with haFFu's funny games, songs and music. You can regocnise us raffulians by our sand brown neckers.
Visiting day at Raffu is sunday the 1st of August, and all family and friends are welcome to explore the camp between 12am and 6pm.
Raffu was named after Rafeal "Raffu" Helanko, who worked as the chair of Scouting Union Finland, among many other achievements. As a playful person he upheld the gaming and sea fearing traditions of Finnish scouts. He also founded the Scouting Museum of Finland and was the first Camp Chief for Satahanka sea scout camp.
