Food and cooking equipment?
Submitted by Tuomas Turpeinen on 23.09.2009 klo 22:40
Do we need to bring our own food supplies for the camp? What about cooking equipment and dining tents?

Answer
The camp fee at Kilke includes all the food costs (breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper).
At Kilke sub camps are divided into smaller units –villages- that each host approximately 500 scouts. Every village has its own kitchen that prepares and serves the food, so there is no need to bring your own cooking equipment, dining tents etc. The scouts do not need to take part in the cooking either, although older scouts may have service tasks at the kitchen.
Additionally there will be cafes and a camp shop on the site, which will allow the scouts to buy snacks and camp products on their own expense.
