After several days of camping in this Jamboree with local Finnish scouts as well as international guests, I've learned a lot from this indeed! This Jamboree, "Kilke" is nothing less than brilliant, and everything I've experienced and felt will not be easy to describe in a few words.
All the Finnish scouts I've met are very active and nice, so I've easily met many scouts during the international evenings, group activities, even during dinner and just hanging around the main street. We chat together and tell each other about our own cultures, so that now I know a lot of Finnish also! ;-)
The activities are all awesome, thus we have fully enjoyed the camp and every moment of this Jamboree. Especially the fire valley, making the metal accessories and scout woggles with different tools. I felt a great sense of success after I had made a woggle by myself, bent the copper with a hammer.
Though these activities in different valleys, I experienced a lot of Finland's culture, scouting and we were so impressed! In addition, during the open days of our camp are on the visiting day, I was glad that Finnish people were interested in Chinese culture and that they kept asking me and the other Hong Kong contingent members about Chinese New Year, how to use chopsticks, chinese calligraphy etc. (These were the topics we had prepared).
There are still thousands of words left for me to write down my experiences, so I just try to make it simple and to write down the important ones =). However, I have no doubts that this Jamboree was definitely worth going to, and I have enjoyed every moment, every person and every activity of this camp, I am sure that I will treasure these valuable memories.
