Come and Experience the Variety of Programme in FinnJamboree

The important reason for arranging a jamboree is to offer programme that is not possible to arrange at a smaller camp. Unfortunately, thus the participation fee is also higher but it´s totally worth it. The coming Finnish Jamboree is going to be really special because it´s the first time that the new age groups are used and the programme is specifically planned to meet the interest of the young and the older people. It means that everybody will get programme that is meaningful and enough challenging also to catch the attention of those "who have seen it all".
I got a permit to summarize here some of the text of Katja Syväniemi (a person responsible of the communication of programme) that was published in the Finnish Partio-magazine in October. Katja really has the the knowledge of what is going on in the programme planning although, of course it´s nice to keep some of the parts as a suprise.
The hard core of the programme will be the four activity areas designed for trackers, explorers and rovers where you will get to work with the basic elements: fire, air, water and earth. The activity areas are the same for all but the programme will change depending on your age group. For example at the earth area trackers get to know the exciting tricks of circus, explorers will play with devil sticks and rovers will take part to an acitivity that Finnish rovers have planned including a lot of fun and a challenging mystery.
Trackers and explorers will experience an overnight hike with plenty of roadblocks and detours and like the name tells it´s going to be "Amazing Race". You will share this experience with your group, and there will be three difficulty levels from which you can choose, and it´s also possible to change the level during the hike.
The service is going to be an essential part of the programme for explorers, rovers and adults although, explorers will spend most of their time taking part to the programme. The adults will make the camp possible being in the service for the whole length of the camp. However, there is going to be free time and free time activities for everybody. For the trackers and explorers there will be a meeting place where you can go and meet new friends or just relax. For rovers there will be evening party and for adults a lot of different programme including the care taking of body and mind, as well as a big societal seminar meant for adults and rovers.
After all these programmes do not forget that there is going to be programme where the whole camp is together: openings, evening fire, ecumenical mass, Woomal-project and the ending. It is going to be really fascinating to see how 10 000 scouts get together and experience something unforgettable.
On the behalf of the international team I can promise that there is also going to be special programme planned for our international guests, and also day trips so you can make the best of your visit in Finland. The Home Hospitality and Tour of Finland after the camp will totally make your trip worth all the effort.
Looking forward to see you at the camp!
Hanna
