First FinnJamboree with the new age groups

Greetings from the camp site! The technical crew has already started working on the site in April, when the scent of freshly peeled logs filled the air. Currently the programme is under its way and the programme planners are working hard to make it the best possible. The preliminary plans are well ahead. Here's a quick preview of what's coming.
Kilke will be the first FinnJamboree to use the new Finnish scouting programme and age groups. Tarpojat (scouts aged 12-15), samoajat (15-17) and vaeltajat (18-22) will participate in the programmes designed fort their own age groups. The programmes can be divided in four themes; fire, water, land and air.
Tarpojat will participate in theme-characterised activities that will not soon be forgotten. The four elements will introduce tarpojat to mythologies and stories. One can go into the past or even have a glimpse of the future. The programme for tarpojat will also include a day-hike. The hike will have several different route-options to choose from according to the skills and will of the group.
Also samoajat will participate in a programme planned according to the four themes. This age group is probably "been there, done that" with the traditional trekking trip. Therefore samoajat will have new and challenging options to choose from. The programme will also include "The Fifth Element"; camp chores. As a part of the samoajat programme they will also have an option of participating in the daily chores of the camp by i.e. running a camp activity.
Vaeltajat will be offered four theme orientated activities (lasting about a half-a-day each) in addition to evening get-togethers, a seminar on social affairs and their very own evening party! All activities will be tried to mix-in with the service tasks by advising the "hiring" parties to take an account on the vaeltajat-programme when making plans and work schedules.
The adults will also have programme planned just for them. Adults can take part in the activities in between making the FinnJamboree happen for the younger ones. On the camp the role of adults will be significant - both as camp organisers and guides.
There will also be big evening programmes for everyone to take part in and to experince the camp atmosphere and togetherness. Neither light nor sound shall be missing from these events!
To make it all happen Kilke shall need a lot of makers. Follow the Kilke web site and open positions. Sign in!
