Information about the visiting day
Collective transportations
Scout district's collective transportation's timetables will be published at the Kilke web site after the ticket sale for collective transportation closes. Scout district's collective transportations arrive and leave at the camp at certain times, which will be announced with the time tables once the collective transportation ticket sale closes. District's collective transportation ticket sale ends on the 15.6. Also many troops are arranging their own collective transportation to camp. Troop's collective transportation may be informed at the Kilke web-site at the visitng day-section.
Shuttle
Shuttles drive non-stop between the visiting day- parking and the camp area on both visiting days from 11.00 to 18.00. Personal items cannot be left in the transports. In the collective transportation may take strollers, bags and other small items. Every collective transportation buss will have a busshost/hostess, who will share information about the visiting day. It is recommended to move to shuttle transport as soon as possible to prevent the rush. Shuttles are partly city busses and partly scheduled service busses.
Bikers, walkers and motorbikers
It is possible to arrive to visiting days straight to camp area by walking or biking. There will be a separate parking for bikes near the camp area. Motorbikes must be parked at the visiting day parking area. When arriving my bike, walking or motorbike normal visiting day ticket is the one to buy. Once arriving by bike or walking must be very careful near the camp area due busy buss traffic. Arriving by bike should be done from Evo's camp venue's direction. Ticket check for those arriving by bike or walking is at the Camp gate.
Parking
Visiting day's parking arrangements, map for visiting day and driving instructions will be announced closer to the camp. Visiting day's parking will be held on a temporary parking area about 15 km from the camp area. There will be plenty of space, so no need to worry about getting a parking place. On both visiting days are expected over 3000 cars/motorbikes, so prepare to queue and wait when arriving and departing. If you're arriving by taxi, you cannot go straight to camp area, but you must get off at the parking area. 1+8 seated and bigger mini-busses and busses may be informed as collective transportation, and they will receive their own arrival and departure time straight to the camp and out. Lunch
Visitors will have lunch at the same village kitchens as the campers on visiting day. In one village kitchen usually dines about 500 campers and on visiting day from 1000 to 2000. There will most definitely be queues, so keep it calm. Visitors will be eating from their own cutlery. There will be no capacity to wash dishes at the camp, so dishes have to wait for trip home before getting to the wash.
Smoking and alcohol
Alcohol and intoxicants are strictly forbidden at Kilke. Smoking is allowed only in certain places at the camp area and parking area. Delivering alcohol or other intoxicants to the camp is forbidden. Please stub out your smokes carefully for fire safety. Also keep in mind, that Kilke is mainly an event directed to children and young people, in which setting an example is very important.
Animals
It is not possible to bring animals to visiting day due hygiene and allergy reasons. Exceptions are guide dogs.
Tickets
Visiting day's tickets are sold at www.tiketti.fi. Tickets can be bought in the Internet electronically as PDF-file or SMS format, or mailed home. Tickets can also purchase at the Tiketti sales offices. Visiting day's tickets are electronically verifiable identified tickets. Tickets cannot be copied or used frequently. Tickets are valid only on Saturday or Sunday, depending on the purchased ticket. Tickets are also sold at the gate and at the parking area for higher price. Children under 7 will not need a visiting day ticket, but they will need a transport ticket excluding infants. If an infant requires a safety seat, a transport ticket must be bought for the seat. Sale of normal tickets will go on until the camp begins. Services at the camp
Kilke has it's own shop and cafés. Cafés offer snacks, sweets and other delicacy. The shop offers e.g. camp camp products, scout badges and clothes and outdoor equipments. It's recommended to have cash for the cafés and shop.
Toilettes
Visitors will be given a map with the visiting day info, and toilettes will be marked on the map. It is prohibited to do your business in other places than toilettes. Toilettes area outdoor festival-styled. Toilettes are marked for men and women separately.
How will I find my camper at the area?
From shuttle and collective transportations' arrival place will be guides and guidance to the sub camp gates. Campers are informed to wait for visitors in their subunit.
Moving around the camp area
The subunit you are visiting must be informed when you are planning to return to the subunit with the camper. You can walk freely around the camp area with your camper, but you must not go to other subunits or places that are marked off-limits.
